May 2012 David Gregson steps down as Chairman of Phoenix Equity Partners

Phoenix Equity Partners, the mid market private equity investment firm, today announces that with effect from 1 July 2012, David Gregson will be stepping down after eleven years as Chairman and leaving the business to focus on his outside interests. David will retain an involvement as a senior advisor to the firm and remains on the boards of two Phoenix portfolio companies, Letts Filofax Group and Precise Media Group, where he is Chairman.

David Gregson has been active in the private equity sector for over twenty five years. He was a co-founder of Phoenix Equity Partners which was formed in 2001 when six executives left Credit Suisse. Since 2001, David has become involved increasingly in a wide range of charitable and public sector activities. He is presently a Trustee of WWF-UK (the UK arm of the World Wildlife Fund), a Director of the London Legacy Development Corporation (previously the Olympic Park Legacy Company), Chair of CRI, a leading national social care charity, and a member of the Advisory Boards of The Sutton Trust, The Education Endowment Foundation, and the Green Investment Bank.
