Our Funds
Phoenix Equity Partners was founded in 2001, and remains an independent organisation owned by its executives. Phoenix manages capital on behalf of institutional, corporate and other investors from the UK and overseas.
In mid 2006, Phoenix raised Phoenix Equity Partners 2006 Fund, a £375m 10 year fund, from 24 investors from Europe, North America, Asia, and Australasia.
Phoenix seeks to invest principally in UK headquartered businesses valued at between £20 million and £200 million. We invest in businesses where we believe private equity funding, strong control and management excellence can drive significant and sustainable growth in both revenues and profitability.
Phoenix has invested in 27 companies since its formation in 2001, and expects to hold its portfolio companies for, on average, between three and five years. Its current portfolio consists of 13 businesses, employing in aggregate over 8,000 staff and generating over £1 billion in revenues.
