Bridge Leisure, an owner and operator of holiday parks in the UK, is pleased to announce the acquisition of the Ashbourne Heights holiday park. Ashbourne Heights is located in Derbyshire, in a beautiful setting within the Peak District National Park.
It is Bridge Leisure’s sixth park acquisition and the third acquisition supported by Phoenix since its initial investment in January 2015. The park is consistent with Bridge Leisure’s strategy of acquiring small - to medium - sized parks in attractive locations with strong organic growth prospects. It comes on the back of an excellent year for Bridge Leisure which is forecast to deliver substantial further profit growth in 2016 on the back of strong caravan and holiday sales.
Andrew Howe, Founder and CEO of Bridge Leisure, commented: “We are pleased to have completed our third acquisition with Phoenix’s support. Ashbourne is a fantastic park in a great location and fits perfectly with the Bridge Leisure proposition.”
Commenting on the transaction, Sandy Muirhead, a Partner at Phoenix, said: “We are delighted to be supporting the Bridge Leisure team with this third acquisition under our ownership as the buy and build gathers momentum. We look forward to further significant progress over the coming year.”
