Porthaven Care Homes has been identified as one of the “1,000 Companies to Inspire Britain” for the second time in three years in a report by the London Stock Exchange Group.
To be included in the report, businesses had to demonstrate a positive growth in revenue, an increase in employee numbers and to significantly outperform their sector peers.
George Osborne, the Chancellor of the Exchequer, writing in the report, stated “This year’s list of 1,000 Companies to Inspire Britain is truly remarkable. The businesses and entrepreneurs in the report are a fantastic illustration of the UK’s pioneering, entrepreneurial spirit and our nation’s capacity to produce world-class innovation.”
John Storey, Chief Executive and Founder of Porthaven commented “Porthaven was formed in 2009 to create a small group of exceptional care homes where the quality of our homes was matched by the quality of care delivered to our residents. Starting from zero, in the middle of the last recession, we have created over 700 jobs to date, as well as providing care and support to our many residents and their families. It is enormously gratifying that our efforts have been identified by the London Stock Exchange once again.”
